The village has a mayor (currently Mrs. Sylvie MILHAU-LERMET), and is a intermunicipal community of Orb and Taurou. For tourists, the village offers a picturesque and authentic French environment, as well as proximity to attractions such as Roquebrun, Causses-et-Veyran and Cessenon-sur-Orb.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

According to the census in 2021, the village had 332 inhabitants. The number of households (logements) in the commune was estimated at 279 in 2007. The local economy is mainly based on agriculture, viticulture and small-scale entrepreneurship, with commuting distance to Beziers and nearby larger villages.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Different vendor trucks come to the village every week, offering everything from fresh groceries to different types of fast food and pizza. About 200 meters from the house is a fenced playground where a lot of effort and dedication has been put into creating a leafy, safe and welcoming place for children to play. 11th century houses, marble quarries, wine culture and limestone caves.<\/h3><\/div>

Saint Nazaire de Ladarez dates back as far as the 11th century, although the village and area have been inhabited for much longer than that. Finds of grinding stones, arrowheads and scrapers dating back as far as 30,000 years confirm this.
Several houses in the village still stand on a foundation built in the 11th century.
Beautiful marble has been quarried here and the rich limestone soil has contributed to many caves and sinkholes.
